It is with head hung low that we report the 2020 Goliad Massacre Reenactment and Living History Program has been canceled due to directives from the Goliad County Judge’s office.
We were excited to offer this program for our fellow Texas history buffs as this would have been the 35th anniversary. With the uncertainty of when large public gatherings will be allowed, we are planning to postpone the 35th annual Goliad Massacre until March of 2021.
Presidio La Bahia is still open for general visitation and our staff is working to keep commonly touched surfaces clean throughout the day. As long as we are allowed to keep our doors open, we will do so. The staff will continue to monitor the ever-changing situation and should things change, we will post announcements on our Facebook page.
Thank you all for your continued support and understanding. Decisions like this are not taken lightly and will affect our friends, family and neighbors both locally and statewide as well as the long-term operations of Presidio La Bahia. We hope you will come out and support our programs and offerings during the remainder of the year. Until then, stay well and we’ll see you down the trail!
